The Investor Services segment caters to individual investors with services such as retail brokerage, investment consultation, banking and trust administration, retirement planning solutions, and various corporate brokerage offerings. It also manages comprehensive recordkeeping for sponsors of equity compensation plans, covering stock options, restricted stock units, performance shares, stock appreciation rights, and general stock plans. Furthermore, it handles clearing services for both retail investors and mutual funds, alongside offering compliance support. The Advisor Services segment furnishes custodial, trading, banking, and administrative support services to independent financial advisors, catering to both retirement businesses and corporate retirement brokerage needs. This includes access to brokerage accounts facilitating trading in equities, fixed income, options, futures, and foreign exchange, as well as margin lending. Cash management facilities are also available, featuring third-party certificates of deposit. Clients can access both proprietary and external mutual funds, supported by full mutual fund trading and clearing capabilities. The segment also offers a variety of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), both those managed internally and from other providers. Additionally, Advisor Services delivers comprehensive advisory solutions, including professionally managed portfolios of internal and third-party mutual funds and ETFs, separately managed accounts, bespoke personal financial guidance for customized portfolios, and expert planning and portfolio management. Its banking product suite encompasses checking and savings accounts, first-lien residential mortgage loans, home equity lines of credit, and pledged asset lines. Trust services are also provided, featuring custody, personal trust reporting, and administrative trustee functions. By December 31, 2021, the Corporation maintained approximately 400 branch offices across 48 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, with an international presence in Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Established in 1971, The Charles Schwab Corporation's headquarters are situated in Westlake, Texas.
