Regions Financial Corporation functions as a financial holding entity, delivering a broad spectrum of banking and financial services to a diverse client base, including both individuals and corporations. Its operations are strategically structured into three primary divisions: Corporate Bank, Consumer Bank, and Wealth Management. The Corporate Bank division specializes in serving corporate entities, middle-market businesses, and commercial real estate developers and investors. It furnishes a comprehensive range of commercial banking offerings, such as commercial and industrial lending, commercial and investor real estate financing, equipment lease financing, and deposit solutions. Additionally, this segment provides sophisticated financial services like securities underwriting and placement, loan syndication, foreign exchange, derivatives, merger and acquisition advisory, and other consultative support. Conversely, the Consumer Bank segment focuses on individual customers, offering an extensive portfolio of retail banking products and services. These encompass residential first mortgages, home equity lines and loans, consumer credit cards, various other personal loan products, and a full suite of deposit accounts. The Wealth Management segment caters to individuals, businesses, governmental institutions, and non-profit organizations, providing credit-related products, retirement and savings strategies, and expert services in trust and investment management, asset management, and estate planning. Beyond these core areas, the company also extends its offerings to include investment and insurance products, low-income housing tax credit corporate fund syndication, and various other specialized financing services. As of March 1, 2022, Regions Financial maintained a significant physical presence, operating approximately 1,300 banking branches and 2,000 automated teller machines (ATMs) spread across the Southern and Midwestern United States, including Texas. Regions Financial Corporation was established in 1971 and has its corporate headquarters located in Birmingham, Alabama.
