These solutions comprise advanced technology systems, mail-order drug delivery, specialty pharmacy services for complex conditions, efficient network and rebate administration, claims processing, and various pharmacy discount initiatives. This segment is also responsible for managing prescription drug benefits under the federal Medicare Part D program and offering insurance plans to individuals and diverse institutional clients, such as health plans, commercial businesses, labor unions, and governmental entities at state and local levels. As of February 26, 2022, Rite Aid operated 2,450 retail pharmacy outlets spread across 17 states. Established in 1962, the corporation is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
