The company also participates in private debt, private equity, mezzanine debt, and direct equity investments, targeting both private companies and microcap public entities. Prospect Capital pursues opportunities through both direct origination and secondary market purchases of loans and portfolios. Its strategic focus includes debt financing for private equity-backed transactions, corporate acquisitions, dividend recapitalizations, growth funding, bridge loans, cash flow term loans, and real estate-related financings and investments. It focuses on companies exhibiting an EBITDA between $5 million and $150 million, sales revenues from $25 million to $500 million, and an enterprise value spanning $5 million to $1 billion. Additionally, it participates in co-investments to facilitate larger transactions. Prospect Capital aims for control acquisitions by strategically deploying capital across multiple levels of a company's capital structure. Its deal origination strategy includes sole investments, agented transactions, club deals, and syndicated opportunities.
