By March 2022, the bank maintained a robust presence with approximately 400 retail locations and 562 ATMs across Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Founded in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in 1842, People's United Financial, Inc. transitioned to a subsidiary of M&T Bank Corporation on April 1, 2022.
