Navios Maritime functions through two primary divisions: Dry Bulk Vessel Operations and Logistics Business. The Dry Bulk Vessel Operations segment is dedicated to the movement and handling of unpackaged raw materials. This involves owning, operating, and trading a fleet of vessels and associated cargo space. This division leases its ships to a diverse client base, which includes commodity trading companies, producers, and government-owned entities. In contrast, the Logistics Business segment manages port facilities, transfer stations, and upriver transport infrastructure, particularly within the Hidrovia region. This division employs various assets, such as ships, barges, and push boats, and engages in coastal shipping services. It delivers a full spectrum of integrated services, encompassing transportation, storage, and related support, by utilizing its port facilities, cargo barges, and specialized product tankers. Its services cater to providers of minerals and grains, as well as users of refined petroleum products. As of December 31, 2021, Navios Maritime possessed a fleet of 36 vessels, with a total deadweight tonnage of 3.9 million. The company was founded in 1954 and has its corporate headquarters situated in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.
