What inTEST does

inTEST Corporation is a global provider of specialized equipment and services for manufacturing and testing processes across various industries, including automotive, defense/aerospace, industrial, life sciences, security, and semiconductor sectors. The company operates through two main divisions: Thermal Products and Electromechanical Semiconductor Products (EMS). The Thermal Products segment delivers a range of environmental and thermal management solutions. This includes ThermoStream products, which function as standalone temperature control units or integrate into diverse electronic test setups. The segment also offers Thermal Chambers, Thermal Platforms, and Thermonics temperature conditioning units designed to provide precisely tempered gas or fluid. Additionally, it supplies specialized cryogenic storage solutions, such as biomedical freezers, refrigerators, and mobile storage, alongside EKOHEAT and EASYHEAT induction heating systems, and digital streaming and image acquisition technologies. The Electromechanical Semiconductor Products (EMS) segment focuses on high-precision equipment for semiconductor testing. It produces manipulators (including the in2, Cobal, and LS series) that securely hold and allow operators to accurately reposition test heads for compatibility with various probers or handlers on a test floor. This segment also manufactures crucial docking hardware to protect interface contacts and ensure consistent, precise alignment between the test head's interface board and the prober's or handler's probing assembly. Furthermore, EMS offers tester interfaces that establish vital electrical connections between the primary test unit and wafer probers or integrated circuit (IC) handlers. Its portfolio extends to Scorpion flying probe test systems, which are robotic electronic testing platforms, complemented by comprehensive application support services. These EMS solutions are primarily employed by semiconductor manufacturers for the back-end production testing of both wafers and specialized packaged integrated circuits. inTEST Corporation distributes its products to a broad clientele within the semiconductor ecosystem, including direct semiconductor manufacturers, third-party foundries, independent test and assembly providers, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Established in 1981, inTEST Corporation's headquarters are located in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
