Furthermore, the company offers specialized services like the repair and maintenance of power equipment, the supply of steam and hot water, plumbing installation and repair, and various energy engineering construction endeavors. Its scope also covers transportation services, the establishment and upkeep of electricity distribution and heating pipeline networks, contracting for energy supply, transmission, and substation projects, as well as freight management and port development. Rounding out its multifaceted business model, Huaneng Power International manages industrial water and waste, delivers environmental engineering expertise, and provides information technology and management consulting. The company also trades in raw and processed coal, and supplies central heating and desalinated water. As of December 31, 2021, the company's controlled generating capacity stood at 118,695 megawatts, with an equity-based installed capacity of 103,875 megawatts. Huaneng Power International, Inc. was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Beijing, People's Republic of China.
