First Republic Bank operates as a financial institution offering private banking, specialized business banking, and wealth management solutions to clients located in major metropolitan areas across the United States. Its operations are structured into two core divisions: Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. The bank's deposit portfolio includes a variety of accounts such as noninterest-bearing and interest-bearing checking, money market checking and savings options, passbook accounts, and certificates of deposit. Regarding its lending activities, First Republic provides an extensive array of credit products. These comprise residential mortgage loans, home equity lines of credit, loans for multifamily properties, commercial real estate and construction financing, as well as personal and business loans and other lines of credit extended to individuals and companies. These credit facilities are primarily collateralized by single-family homes, multi-unit residences, and commercial real estate assets. Beyond traditional banking, the company delivers comprehensive wealth management services. These offerings encompass diverse investment strategies and products, online investment management platforms, trust and custody solutions, full-service and online brokerage, financial and estate planning, and facilitated access to alternative investments, alongside insurance and foreign exchange services. Furthermore, First Republic Bank extends modern banking conveniences like online and mobile banking, refinancing assistance, and ATM and debit card services. As of December 31, 2021, the bank maintained 82 licensed deposit-taking branches, predominantly situated in key urban centers including San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Newport Beach, and San Diego, California; Portland, Oregon; Boston, Massachusetts; Palm Beach, Florida; Greenwich, Connecticut; New York, New York; and Jackson, Wyoming. Additionally, 12 other locations were dedicated to lending, wealth management, or trust operations. Established in 1985, First Republic Bank is headquartered in San Francisco, California.
