FedNat Holding Company, alongside its various subsidiaries, specializes in the insurance business, encompassing underwriting, policy distribution, and claims management. Its operations extend across Florida, Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi. The firm's offerings include homeowners' and casualty coverage, personal automobile policies, commercial general liability, and federal flood insurance. These products, both its own and those of third-party insurers, are marketed and delivered with additional services via a broad network of independent and general agents. Founded in 1991 and based in Sunrise, Florida, the company operated as Federated National Holding Company until it changed its name to FedNat Holding Company in May 2018. However, on December 11, 2022, FedNat Holding Company and its affiliates voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 reorganization in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.
