The Community Banking division provides a diverse array of financial products, including various deposit accounts such as checking, savings, money market, and certificates of deposit. Its lending offerings span consumer and commercial loans, commercial real estate financing, home builder loans, and warehouse lines of credit. Additionally, this segment extends other financial solutions like consumer and corporate card services, customized treasury management solutions, merchant services, and capital markets services, which encompass loan syndications, investment products, and insurance. It serves its consumer, business, and mortgage lending clients through its branch network, specialized business and commercial banking, government banking, and warehouse lending facilities. The Mortgage Originations segment focuses on facilitating the creation, acquisition, and sale of residential mortgage loans for one-to-four family properties. These services are accessible through dedicated mortgage branches, call centers, online platforms, and via third-party partners. The Mortgage Servicing segment handles the ongoing administration and sub-servicing of both mortgage and other consumer loans. This includes managing loans held within the company's investment and held-for-sale portfolios, as well as providing noninterest-bearing escrow services. As of December 31, 2021, Flagstar maintained a significant operational footprint, comprising 158 full-service banking branches. Its mortgage operations were further expanded through a wholesale network of brokers and correspondents active in all 50 states, supplemented by 83 retail locations and 3 call centers across 28 states. Flagstar Bancorp, Inc. was established in 1987 and its headquarters are located in Troy, Michigan.
