The Gas segment is responsible for acquiring, storing, transporting, distributing, and selling natural gas to households, businesses, and industrial users across Michigan, as well as providing storage and transit capacity. DTE Vantage focuses on projects that deliver energy and utility-style offerings to industrial, commercial, and institutional customers, produces lower-emission fuels, and markets electricity and pipeline-grade gas derived from renewable energy initiatives. The Energy Trading segment manages the company's activities in energy markets and trading. Lastly, the Corporate and Other segment covers various holding company functions, manages certain non-utility financial obligations, holds specific investments, and allocates funds to support regional development and economic expansion. The company, founded in January 1995, maintains its primary offices in Detroit, Michigan.
