It also offers genomics consumables and advanced Gene and Cell Therapy products. Additionally, this segment supplies bioprocess technologies, along with filtration, separation, and purification systems, complemented by related consumables and services. Its customer base is broad, encompassing pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies, the food and beverage industry, medical sectors, academic institutions, research facilities, and various industrial manufacturers. Danaher's Diagnostics segment is dedicated to delivering vital healthcare products and services. Its offerings include chemistry, immunoassay, microbiology, and automation systems, as well as hematology, molecular, acute care, and pathology diagnostic solutions. The segment equips hospitals, physicians' offices, reference laboratories, and other critical care settings with clinical instruments, reagents, consumables, software, and extensive services. The Environmental & Applied Solutions segment addresses crucial demands in water management and product identification/quality. In water management, it provides instrumentation, consumables, software, services, and disinfection systems essential for analyzing, treating, and managing various water types—from ultra-pure to ocean water—across residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Moreover, this segment offers instruments, software, services, and consumables for tasks such as color and appearance management, packaging design and quality control, packaging converting, printing, marking, coding, and traceability for consumer, pharmaceutical, and industrial products. Established in 1969, the company was originally known as Diversified Mortgage Investors, Inc. before adopting the name Danaher Corporation in 1984. Its corporate headquarters are situated in Washington, D.C.
