Its Servicing segment manages existing mortgages by collecting and distributing borrower payments, providing investor reports, handling customer inquiries, and modifying loan terms. The Originations segment generates new residential mortgage loans directly for consumers, and also procures or initiates loans from other mortgage bankers and brokers. The company primarily operates under the Mr. Cooper and Xome brand names. Founded in 2015, it was previously known as WMIH Corp. until changing its name to Mr. Cooper Group Inc. in October 2018. Mr. Cooper Group Inc. is headquartered in Coppell, Texas.
