Within its Rhythm and Neuro segment, Boston Scientific's cardiac rhythm management offerings include implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) defibrillators, alongside pacemakers and CRT pacemakers, all supported by remote patient monitoring technologies. The company also provides advanced electrophysiology tools for diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disturbances, such as 3-D cardiac mapping and navigation systems, various ablation and diagnostic catheters, intracardiac ultrasound catheters, and associated delivery systems and accessories. Furthermore, in the field of neuromodulation, it offers spinal cord stimulators for chronic pain management, indirect decompression systems, and deep brain stimulation systems for neurological disorders. The Cardiovascular segment encompasses interventional cardiology products, including drug-eluting stents for coronary artery disease, devices for percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) addressing atherosclerosis, and sophisticated diagnostic tools such as intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) imaging catheters and fractional flow reserve (FFR) devices, utilized in coronary arteries, heart chambers, and peripheral vessels. It also develops structural heart therapies. For peripheral vascular conditions, the company supplies stents, balloon catheters, wires, and atherectomy systems to manage arterial diseases, alongside thrombectomy and acoustic pulse thrombolysis systems, wires, and stents for treating venous conditions. Additionally, Boston Scientific provides a suite of oncology solutions, including peripheral embolization devices, radioactive microspheres, various ablation systems (thermal and cryotherapy), and micro-catheters and drainage catheters for cancer treatment. Established in 1979, the company maintains its corporate headquarters in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
