What Brunswick does

Brunswick Corporation operates as a global enterprise focused on the design, manufacturing, and marketing of recreational products. Its business is structured into three primary divisions: Propulsion, Parts & Accessories, and Boats. The Propulsion division is responsible for providing various marine engines, including outboard, sterndrive, and inboard models, to independent boat builders and government clients. These products are distributed through marine dealers, distributors, specialty retailers, and service centers. Additionally, this segment supplies crucial propulsion-related components such as controls, rigging, and propellers to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and various aftermarket distributors. Featured brands in this segment include Mercury, Mercury MerCruiser, Mariner, Mercury Racing, and Mercury Diesel. Within the Parts & Accessories division, the company offers an extensive selection of items, including engine parts, consumables, electrical products, boat systems, lubricants, marine electronics, control units, instruments, trolling motors, and fuel and electrical systems. This segment also extends its reach to the specialty vehicle, mobile, and transportation aftermarket sectors, serving both marine and non-marine OEMs, as well as aftermarket retailers and distributors. Key brands here are Mercury, Mercury Precision Parts, Quicksilver, and Seachoice. Brunswick's Boat segment features a wide array of vessel brands. This includes Sea Ray sport boats and cruisers; Bayliner sport cruisers, runabouts, and Heyday wake boats; Boston Whaler fiberglass offshore boats; Lund fiberglass fishing boats; a variety of aluminum fishing, utility, pontoon, and deck boats from brands like Crestliner, Cypress Cay, Harris, Lowe, Lund, and Princecraft; and Thunder Jet heavy-gauge aluminum boats. Beyond manufacturing, the segment also offers marine industry services such as the Freedom Boat Club, dealer support, and technological solutions, distributed via a network of dealers and distributors. Founded in 1845, Brunswick Corporation is headquartered in Mettawa, Illinois.
