Additional capabilities feature working capital management solutions, alongside debt and equity underwriting and distribution, and advisory services for mergers and other corporate transactions. The Global Markets segment delivers critical market infrastructure and risk management tools. It facilitates market-making activities, provides financing, and offers securities clearing, settlement, and custody services. Clients can also access risk management products incorporating interest rate, equity, credit, currency, and commodity derivatives, as well as foreign exchange, fixed-income, and mortgage-related instruments. Demonstrating its extensive reach, as of December 31, 2021, Bank of America served approximately 67 million individual and small business clients. This vast network was supported by roughly 4,200 physical retail financial centers and an estimated 16,000 automated teller machines (ATMs). Its digital banking platforms further enhanced accessibility, boasting around 41 million active users. The institution was established in 1784 and maintains its corporate headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.
