Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. specializes in underwriting a diverse range of property and casualty (P&C) insurance and reinsurance products. The company's operations are organized into two primary segments: U.S. Operations and International Operations. Its extensive portfolio encompasses primary and excess specialty casualty, general liability, commercial multi-peril, and workers' compensation insurance. They also provide various liability coverages, including product, environmental, auto, management, transaction, directors and officers (D&O), employment practices, and errors and omissions (E&O). Property-related offerings feature primary and excess property, inland marine, and auto physical damage. Other specialized lines include surety, animal mortality, and ocean marine. On the international front, Argo underwrites casualty and motor treaties, professional indemnity, and medical malpractice. Additionally, they facilitate direct and facultative excess insurance, North American and international binders, and residential collateral protection specifically for lending institutions, alongside policies for personal accident, aviation, cargo, yachts, and both onshore and offshore marine risks. The distribution of these products is managed through a broad network comprising wholesale and retail agents, managing general agents (MGAs), brokers, and other third-party intermediaries. Founded in 1948, Argo Group is headquartered in Pembroke, Bermuda.
