It also provides specialized auto coverage for vehicles such as motorcycles, trailers, motor homes, and off-road vehicles, alongside other personal lines like renter, condominium, landlord, boat, umbrella liability, manufactured home, and stand-alone scheduled personal property insurance. Commercial insurance solutions are also provided under the Allstate and Encompass brand names within this segment. The Protection Services segment extends beyond traditional insurance, offering consumer product protection plans and associated technical assistance for items like mobile phones, electronics, furniture, and appliances. This division also features financial and insurance products, including vehicle service contracts, guaranteed asset protection (GAP) waivers, road hazard coverage for tires and wheels, and paint and fabric protection. Additional services include roadside assistance, device and mobile data collection, analytical solutions leveraging automotive telematics information, and identity theft protection. These services are delivered through distinct brands such such as Allstate Protection Plans, Allstate Dealer Services, Allstate Roadside Services, Arity, and Allstate Identity Protection. Allstate Health and Benefits focuses on health-related insurance, encompassing life insurance, accident coverage, critical illness policies, short-term disability benefits, and other health insurance products. Finally, the Run-off Property-Liability segment manages existing property and casualty insurance obligations. To reach its customer base, Allstate employs a multi-channel distribution strategy. Products are sold through call centers, its network of agencies, financial specialists, independent agents, brokers, wholesale partners, and affinity groups. Furthermore, the company leverages digital platforms, offering services via its online portals and mobile applications.
