What TPLS does

The Thornburg Core Plus Bond ETF (TPLS) seeks to generate comprehensive returns, combining both current income and capital growth, through a diverse fixed-income portfolio. Its investments encompass a broad range of assets, including corporate debt, government obligations, mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, and bank loans. The fund offers significant flexibility, permitting investments in securities of any credit quality and maturity. Although primarily focused on domestic issuers, it has the ability to invest in international debt, including those denominated in foreign currencies, with an explicit limit of 25% on foreign currency exposure. Furthermore, the fund can allocate up to 25% of its assets to high-yield bonds, and its exposure to emerging markets is capped at 15%. Investment selections are driven by rigorous fundamental research, utilizing both internal expertise and external analysis to thoroughly evaluate credit profiles, prevailing economic conditions, and intrinsic valuations. Derivatives may also be employed to enhance portfolio performance or manage potential risks. Holdings can be adjusted or sold to modify duration, reduce overall risk, or capitalize on more attractive investment opportunities.
