What RWLS does
This fund aims to replicate the investment performance of the Russell 1000/Russell 2000 150/50 Net Spread Index, before any deductions for fees and expenses. Typically, at least 80% of its capital (which may include funds acquired through borrowing for investment) is allocated to either the individual securities comprising the Long Component of this index or to exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that track the Long Component. The index itself measures the returns of a strategy combining a 150% long position in the Russell 1000 Index (referred to as the "Long Component") with a 50% short position in the Russell 2000 Index (known as the "Short Component"). A key characteristic of this fund is that it is non-diversified.
