What PPLN does
This investment product is designed to deliver returns that correspond to the performance of the Cushing 30 MLP Index. At maturity, or if repurchased or redeemed early, payments on these notes will be determined by the Volume-Weighted Average Price (VWAP) level of the index. Investors may also receive variable quarterly income distributions (coupons), which are derived from the cash payouts made by the index's underlying constituents. The Cushing 30 MLP Index itself monitors the financial performance of 30 publicly traded, U.S.-based companies largely involved in the midstream energy sector, specifically activities such as the transportation, storage, processing, and sometimes the production of energy commodities.
