What MCEF does

Under ordinary market conditions, this fund endeavors to achieve its financial goals by allocating at least 80% of its overall portfolio (which includes any borrowed capital) to municipal debt securities. The interest income generated by these securities is exempt from regular federal income taxes. These municipal bonds are typically issued by or on behalf of U.S. states, territories, the District of Columbia, and their associated political subdivisions, agencies, and other governmental entities.
