What IDY does
This fund aims to generate current income while also seeking long-term growth for investors' capital. It primarily achieves this by investing in the common shares of companies located in developed countries outside the United States. A key selection criterion for these non-U.S. firms is that they must offer above-average dividend yields. The portfolio is predominantly allocated to large and mid-capitalization companies. Under typical market conditions, at least 80% of the fund's total assets (including any borrowed capital for investment purposes) will be committed to equity instruments. This includes common stock, along with American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) and Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs), issued by these dividend-paying companies in developed international markets.
