Additionally, the estimated worth of a company's physical assets – effectively serving as a supplementary fifth pillar – is also considered when constructing the portfolio. The selection process begins by screening all publicly traded companies located outside the United States. From this extensive pool, a minimum of 50 securities are ultimately chosen for inclusion in the final portfolio, which may comprise both common stocks and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
