What COW does

This Exchange Traded Note (ETN) allows investors to gain exposure to the performance of livestock futures contracts, rather than directly investing in or owning the physical commodities themselves. The benchmark index, which this ETN is designed to track, is composed of one or more specific futures agreements on the relevant commodity. Its objective is to reflect the comprehensive returns that could be achieved through two primary components: (1) an investment in these futures contracts, without the use of leverage, and (2) the interest income that would be earned from cash held as collateral, invested in particular U.S. Treasury Bills.
